Pour Out God’s Love and Power. Live in the Overflow
We pour our heart out to God and remember how Jesus poured out His life unto death as He bore our sins on the cross (Isaiah 53:12). We ask Jesus to pour out the Holy Spirit on us. Then we are filled to overflowing with the love and power of God and we pour ourselves out to others. We are here to serve. We are here to be a force in the world to help others and change our culture and peoples so they please God.
John 7:37-39 “Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” (39) But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” However, now He has sent the Holy Spirit to be poured out on us and to flow out of us. A river takes out damns, and bridges, and cars. The river of God coming out of us takes out sin, sickness, disease, and every assignment of the devil against us.
God pours His Spirit out on all mankind who will receive Him. On the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2:17 when the 120 believers were baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire they were empowered to serve God more fully. Acts 2:17 ‘And it shall be in the last days,’ God says,‘That I will pour forth of My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,And your young men shall see visions. And your old men shall dream dreams; (18) Even on My bondslaves, both men and women, I will in those days pour forth of My Spirit. And they shall prophesy. (19) ‘And I will grant wonders in the sky aboveAnd signs on the earth below, Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. (20) ‘The sun will be turned into darkness. And the moon into blood,Before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come. (21) ‘And it shall be thateveryone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ The disciples went out of that place boldly preaching. People from 16 nations understood the message in tongues given by the disciples. And on the first day of the new church 3,000 received Jesus as Savior and were baptized.
Acts 1:8 “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” Stay in the Word of God. Keep asking Him to fill you over and over. Pour His Word into your mind and spirit. What is poured in you will come out of you. When we eat and drink the Word it will pour out of us to affect the world. We will see salvations, signs, wonders, miracles, and transformed lives.
When people touched Jesus’ garment they were healed. When the woman with an issue of blood touched His garment she was healed immediately and Jesus said He felt virtue flow out to heal. Luke 8:43-48 “And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, (44) Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stopped. (45) And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? (46) And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. (47) And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. (48) And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.”
Peter was so full of the Holy Spirit and power that when he passed by, the people would bring their sick so that when Peter’s shadow would fall on them and they were healed.
Remember we are well equipped by the Holy Spirit to do the things God directs us to do. We are equipped to serve.
Mark 10:45 ”For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” John 12:26 “If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.”
We are to pour out the gospel of Jesus Christ and make disciples of all mankind. Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, (20) teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
God pours out His love and power. He also pours out His wrath on those who reject Him and walk in lawlessness and rebellion. Jeremiah 10:25 “Pour out Your fury on the Gentiles, who do not know You, and on the families who do not call on Your name;…” Hebrews 10:26-27 “For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, (27) but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries.”
God will pour out His wrath and judgment on the rebellious and non believers, and He will also pour out His safety, comfort, and love on the righteous who believe and honor Him.
Receive Jesus today and secure your eternal future. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. Romans 10:13 “for ‘Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.’” Pray: Father I am a sinner. I need a Savior. I ask you to forgive my sins. I receive you today in my heart and life to be my Savior and Lord of my life. Thank you for dying in the cross and shedding Your blood to wash away My sins. I am now Yours. Pour out Your Spirit on me so I can walk in love and power over temptation and over the devil. Fill me, baptize me in the Holy Spirit so I can live a life pleasing to You. Thank you for eternal life and for abundant life now. Thank You Father for loving me-I am now Your child. In Jesus Name.” Read Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:8-9, 6:23, 10:9-10, 13; John 3:16; Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38.
