When God told Moses to set the enslaved Israelite nation free from slavery in Egypt, Moses replied, “… when I come …they shall say to me, “What is HIS name?” what shall I say to them? “ God replied, “I AM that I AM”. Tell them, “I AM has sent you.” This is in Exodus 3:13-14. God exists. Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.” We have to believe that He exists to have a relationship with Him.
There is one only God. And there is only one way to God. That way is through Jesus Christ His Son. Jesus said in John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” And verse says 7, “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.” So if you want the path to God it is Jesus and Jesus alone. If you want to know the Father and what He is like look to Jesus. The Word (the Bible) says in Hebrews 10:19, “Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,” It is only by the blood of Jesus that we are forgiven of sin and saved from hell and it is through Jesus alone that we receive eternal life. We pray to the Father in Jesus Name.
When asked in Mark 12:28 what the most important commandment there is, He quoted from Deuteronomy 4: 4-5 as He replied in Mark 12:29-30 Jesus answered, “The foremost is, ‘Hear, O Israel! The Lord our God is one Lord; (30) and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” He is one LORD.
The Lord is One; there are not two Gods and not many Gods. There is one God. Allah is not God. Allah is not Jehovah. Jehovah is LORD. Jehovah is also known as YHWH which is LORD. GOD is known in the following names: EL: God “mighty and strong”; ELOHIM: God the Creator. This is the plural form showing God to be the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Ghost (or Holy Spirit); EL SHADDAI: God Almighty. The God who is more than enough, the multi-breasted One; ADONAI: Lord, Master. And there are more names to describe the one true God. Do a search on the internet for Names of God and check Seven Names of God for more information.
God is known in other names to show us His character such as Jehovah-Jireh-“The Lord will provide”; Jehovah-Shalom-“The Lord our peace,; Jehovaj-Rapha- “The Lord who heals”; Jehovah-Rohi- “The Lord is our Shepherd. There are also other names you can find in the Word to call God and understand His character. Yet there is still only one God.
Allah, Budah, Confucius and other false gods are not God Most High who alone saves us. Mohammed, Confucius, Joseph Smith, Brigham Young and leaders of other religions are not the path to God. Only Jesus is the way to God. Jesus is Lord! God gives us free will and allows us to worship any god we wish to or no God at all. So we must give that to everyone also. However, He also tells us to speak the truth in love. And Jesus tells us by the power of the Holy Spirit to take authority in the earth and proclaim the Name of Jesus to the whole world. So we boldly speak the name of Jesus and claim our land for Jesus who is Lord of all. We pray to God through Jesus and in the Name of Jesus. If you are a believer and disciple of Jesus Christ and someone is offering a prayer to any other god or some other way but Jesus, do not pray with them and do not join in with them.
Let’s see what God Himself says about the subject of One God. Check out Isaiah in chapters 42, 43, 44, 45, and 46. Over and over God says I am the only God, I know not another. There are no other Gods. (There are false gods people look to.) Let’s look at a few verses here. Is 42:8 “I am the Lord, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another,…” Is 43: 10 “…Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me.” (11) “ I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior.” Is 44:6 “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God. (8) “Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one.” Is 45:21 “…And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides Me. (22) “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.” Is 46:9 “…For I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, (10) Declaring the end from the beginning,..”
God Almighty wants a relationship and fellowship with us. Sin separated man and woman from God. God has made a way to be forgiven of sins and have the relationship restored. That way is through Jesus and what He did on the cross when He shed His blood to wash away our sins.
Another wonderful name for God is Father. This is for those who receive Jesus as Savior and Lord. When we receive Jesus we are adopted by God and we can cry out, “Abba-Father!” (Romans 8:15 and Gal 4:6)
Our access to God is Jesus. When we Pray we go to the Father in Jesus Name. John 16:23-24 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. (24) Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”
Jesus is Lord. He came from heaven to become a man to save His people from their sins. John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” And verse (14) “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
Jesus is Adonai-Master. He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Revelation
Receive Jesus and settle your eternal destiny. John 1:12 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,” Confess your sins and say, “I receive Jesus today as Savior and also as Lord. Jesus is Adonai- the Master.”
Romans 10:9-10 “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. (13) for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
