The Right Path
Psalm 107:7 “And He (God) led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city for a dwelling place.”
God will lead you in “the right way.” When you are in the right way battles and troubles still come but, it does not discourage you, because you know you are in God’s will; and you know you are in the right way, so you continue through each battle to victory. If we are not in the right way, then we give ground or access for the devil to attack, and cause havoc and defeat in our lives. We need to get in prayer and the reading of God’s Word. Get honest with self and God. If your troubles are because you are on the wrong path for this particular season of your life – then seek God for the right path. He will be glad once He knows you are willing to change and He will put you on the right path. Remember, you can do a good thing, and you will see some fruit from your efforts, but is it the best thing? What you have done before may have been right for a particular season of your life, but is it the best for this season.
Remember, Paul was told by God to go to Rome. He had a shipwreck on the way, but he did make it to Rome and accomplished God’s purpose in his life there. However, many of the shipwrecks of life we encounter are because we are not going where God says, or we are unwilling to go and to do what God is saying to us in this season.
Good news – God will lead us in the right path. Get this down. God will lead us in the right path. He always has our best interest at heart. Be confident in that. One thing we can do in this earth, is trust God. Trust Him and rest in peace as you seek Him – He will lead you in the right path, just for you, and there will be peace and blessings in the right path. Battles – yes; defeat – no.
Romans 8:14 “For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”
Isaiah 55:6 “Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.”
Saul of Tarsus, who became Paul the apostle, was going on the wrong road to Damascus to persecute, kill and jail people for being Christians. Jesus appeared to Him and changed his direction in life. He became one of the most outspoken believers for Jesus, in his day, and wrote many of the books in the New Testament. When God put him on the right path, he was able to fulfill his purpose in life, and show many how to receive eternal life in Jesus Christ.
The Bible says in Romans 10:14 “How shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed?…” You need to know God personally to call upon Him for “the right path for your life.”
The Right Path For Believers.
If you already know Jesus as Savior and Lord keep seeking Him. You will get the answer for the right path to be on if you are willing to go on any path He takes you. You may not understand the path, you may resist the path at first, you may want to go on another path, but go on the right path – the Holy Spirit leads you on – it is the path of blessings.
The Right Path to Heaven
Some say pray to the God of your choice and we will pray to the God of our choice. The Bible declares very clearly as noted in the Number One Commandment in Deut. 6:4 and Mark 11:29 that there in only one Lord and also that there is only one way, one right path to the Father in Heaven. John 14:6 “Jesus said to him ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.’” Are you on the right path to eternal life in Heaven. You can be. If you are willing and it is your desire, pray this. “Dear God, I am a sinner, I need a Savior, forgive me of all my sins, put me on the right path to heaven; I ask Jesus who is the only way to You to come into my heart and life and be my Savior and the Lord of my life. I turn away from the path of sin and I turn to You. Thank You Jesus for making a way for me to have eternal life. God is now my Father. Holy Spirit help me to lead a life pleasing to my Father in Heaven. In Jesus name I pray.” Read John 3:3; 3:6, 3:16, Luke 3:16; Luke 11:13, Romans 8:14, Romans 10:9 & 10, Acts 1:8. Get baptized. Read the Bible and pray daily to stay on a right path. Get involved in church. Meet regularly with other believers.
