Keep Your Peace! Keep Your Joy!
During a troublesome time in my life, as I was taking a shower, Jesus began speaking to me about peace and joy. He said, “Ronnie, this is a definite. I died for your peace. I hung on the cross for your peace. Keep your peace. All hell may be breaking loose against you. People may reject you. People may come against you, but keep your peace. I died for you to have it. You can lose it, but don’t, I hung on the cross and shed My blood for your peace. The first thing I told the boys (His disciples) when I came out of the grave was, ‘Peace be with you.’ I am the Prince of Peace. Keep your peace. So I said, “I receive peace.”
“And another thing, keep your joy. This is a definite. I hung on the cross and died for you to have joy. It’s a fruit of the Spirit – love, joy, peace… So keep your joy. All hell may be coming against you, people may reject you, people may come against you, but keep your joy. I died for you to have joy – so keep your joy. If you don’t have joy, choose joy.” So I said, “I choose joy.”
“But I did not die to keep you out of trouble; as a matter of fact if you stay down there (on earth) long enough you will have lots of it. But, I will be with you in all of it. (Editor’s Note: See John 16:33)
Now, here is why you can keep your peace and joy in the middle of the mess. Isaiah 46:10 says, ‘I declare the end form the beginning’ and Ecclesiastes 7:8 says, ‘The end of a thing is better than the beginning.’ That’s why you can keep your peace and joy – because I declare a good end for you. You may not like the battle or the time, it takes – but, keep your peace and your joy and look to the end. Keep your eyes on the good ending.” (This is not a direct quote but close).
Remember, God is the Master at taking something bad and making it good. Romans 8:28 “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
So again I say, “Keep your peace and keep your joy! Receive it from Jesus.”
Everyday, people are in church hearing and/or saying or reading these words “Peace be with you!” They come in with no peace and they leave with no peace. They forget to say “I receive it.” God is not the author of confusion, the devil is. Jesus is still speaking these words to us, “Peace be with you!” Say this, “I receive it” Now ask for joy to replace the heaviness, the worry, the doubt, the hurt, or the war within you. Say, “I receive joy in the place of heaviness and hurt.” If you have a wounded spirit, tell God; He will be happy to fix it. Say it out loud “Lord I’ve been hurt and I have a wounded spirit. I am asking you to heal it Lord. In Jesus name.”
Expect to laugh and smile again soon. “…for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)
DO YOU KNOW THE PRINCE OF PEACE? You can know the Prince of Peace, Jesus, personally. He will come into your life, into your heart if you ask HIm to. If you want the peace and joy of God and know you need a Savior pray this, “Dear God I am a sinner, I need a Savior. Forgive my sins, I receive Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord. Thank you Jesus for dying on the cross for me to have eternal life and also peace and joy from you in this life on earth. Thank you for giving me a home in Heaven. Jesus is now my Lord! In Jesus name, Amen.” Read Romans 3:10, 3:23, 5:8-9, 6:23 and John 3:16 and 3:36. Now get baptized, read the Bible everyday, pray everyday, meet with other believers in Christ regularly.
